Muara Putus MPR Observation Report Dec 10-11, 2011

Dear colleagues,

I'm sorry for this delayed report. MPR observation has been going well for first 10 days of IOP. Actually, we had problem regarding the data archiving system, but the observation itself was good without any major interruptions (except on Dec 1 and 2, before we used genset).

Starting from Dec 10, around 13 UTC (20 LT), MPR detected many convective cells developing along Mentawai Strait. We did not check it in detail (from velocity data), but the cells seemed to move northwestward. On Dec 11 afternoon, the convective clouds moving from the coastal side to the inland area. We had finally  medium rain, started (at Muara Putus) around 17:30 LT.
